1940s style rag doll Pinny Girl

A common site in the war years a Pinny was an essential item of clothing , when new clothes were scarce and household chores were many , Dolly is wearing a lovely floral Pinny made from a vintage barkcloth fabric , a blouse made from a Pretty ditsy print cotton fabric , finished with vintage mother of Pearl buttons and a 1940s mogashul fabric head scarf , she has hand knitted socks and felt slippers . Her hair is needle felted wool and she has an embroidered face, Dolly is approximately 22” tall .Dolly's clothes are not removable and should be surface washed with a damp cloth if needed . Due to the nature of the fabrics used to make Dolly she is not a toy and not suitable for children, she is for display only
