Nurse Audrey is wearing her smart uniform based on the VADs (Voluntary Aid Detachment) Nurses of the ww2 with their iconic red cross symbol embroidered on her vintage linen head scarf and apron. Audrey is all hand sewn with an embroidered face , needle felted hair and an embroidered made by mim red heart tattoo on her arm, a bit daring for a 40s girl but I like to think my girls are all a bit sassy! I make all my dolls In the spirit of make do and mend `I use a mix of vintage and new fabrics and haberdashery to stitch my dolls and therefore they are not toys and not suitable for children but are for display purposes only. Audrey is approx 24" tall.
